Gigantic Himalayan Balsam is hairless annual plant, growing up to 3 m. It is
very similar to Himalayan Balsam, but
larger, and differs in a few respects. Its leaves have gennerally rounded
teeth, and not acute as in Himalayan Balsam. Also the fruit is linear,
whereas it is club-shaped in Himalayan Balsam. Flowers are pink, purple or
crimson, with darker spotted sac like lower sepal. It is found at altitudes
of 1800-4000 m in the Himalayas. Flowering: July-September.
